14 June 2017 – On the 2^nd and 3^rd of June I was a guest at the CANactions architecture festival in Kiev. The theme of this annual event was: Values. My contribution was a lecture on luxury . I think this is a great word for architects. Luxury does not necessarily mean extravagance or opulence. Nor does it mean that someone has something that others are excluded from. If you take luxury in the sense of wealth or pleasure, then there can be luxury hidden in our everyday world. Architects design things that can be owned by everyone.
