1 February 2024 – I am happy to announce the launch of a new website that presents a selection of texts I have written over the past decades. Some of these texts existed in English and not in Dutch – or vice versa – and are now available in both languages. Please read for instance my postscript to The Rationalist Reader in Dutch. Or my article on the forgotten Lutherhof palazzo in English.
A ‘carpenter’s eye’ is a literal translation of the Dutch word Timmermansoog. It means a good eye for estimating proportions. I have never come across something similar in English.
