14 May 2024 – Wienerberger is proud of their Ecobricks and uses the Hof Doet Leven we designed as an example to explain the benefits of the product. The Ecobricks are narrower than traditional bricks, saving on material, production, transportation and processing costs. It’s all on Wienerberger’s website with photos of the construction.

We do not consider the EcoBrick a lame sustainability alternative, but a high-quality brick product that looks great and will last a very long time. That is not true of all sustainability innovations. The important thing is that the brick industry makes products that reach beyond good intentions. Truly sustainable housing construction does not depend on a single lucky grab. You have to do a lot of bigger and smaller things right.
