18 February 2026 – Very happy: the municipality of Purmerend City Council has announced that our team won the competition for the redevelopment of the Schapenmarkt in Purmerend. We have worked energetically with Vendrig Leegwater Architecten to provide a gathering place on the edge of the town centre. Our brief included an alternative accommodation for the existing parking spaces, a boutique hotel and apartments.

A secluded city garden has been designed on the roof of the car park, which is suitable as a place to unwind, for everyday encounters and larger city celebrations. Around the car park are spaces for cultural activities and small businesses. The plan owes its name to a covered staircase on the corner of the plot: the Schapenpoort (Sheep Gate).
