10 June 2020 – “The film is better than the book, Hans,” my client said when we walked through our completed project. Rob Thijssen was both funny and right. The best software and the nicest material samples won’t beat the built design.

Fortunately, there is the medium film. Film still is patently unfit to present designs, but with videos about the Kloosterbuuren and Oranjeboomstraat projects I have discovered how beautiful the built properties were shown. The medium comes much closer to the physical experience of architecture. So I am much pleased with the initiative taken by Architectenweb and Wienerberger to make a film about the Houses with Two Doors at Persoonshaven.
