17 March 2022 – As of today, the project we designed for the Nieuw Kralingen housing development in Rotterdam is on sale. In December we submitted the combined construction and planning permit application on behalf of the development combination ERA Contour- Heijmans. The first phase of the neighbourhood is already under construction.

The 17 houses of the project form a triangular court in the courtyard of a building block. At the entrance to the courtyard, the eye is caught by a well and a brick bench. In the middle is a garden with a large tree. Behind it is a house with a flat roof, which contrasts with the gabled roofs of the other houses. It is a reference to the playhouses that often stood on the axis of symmetry in older courtyards.
