2 May 2024 – Hofje – boompje – beestje, headlined the Dutch newspaper NRC this weekend. Collective housing is in the limelight. Today we presented our design study on the palazzo as a model for collective housing forms to the City of Amsterdam.

The urban plan and the design guide lines for the new Strandeiland (Beach Island) are ready. The city needed further typological exploration of a number of plots in the plan. The South and Central European palazzo type as a collective housing form offers possibilities for high-end construction in high density. We sketched variants for four plots.
