HvdHA_Stadtdialog

20 June 2016 – Once a year the so-called City Dialogue takes place in Bremen, Germany. Representatives of social housing trusts, real estate managements, city administration, education and the development and design world come together to discuss topical themes. This year’s theme is the ‘improvement of everyday architecture’. Bremen is in need of a great many new dwellings. I am invited to introduce this theme. A happy coincidence is that the Swiss architect Lukas Imhof is the other speaker. I have been in contact with Lukas for quite a long time now. He is the author of the book Midcomfort, in which he addresses an architecture which doesn’t seek the experiment, but is located in the middle of life and puts comfort central. I am looking forward to the exchange of ideas after our presentations.

The social housing in Drents Dorp is shown on the flyer announcing this gathering: Wednesday 22 June, 19:00, Speicher XI 11, Bremen.
